oh boy.... lots has happened since i wrote last....sorry i'm so bad at this! i'll try to get better!
well first things first. we had our first grammer tests on friday. they went fairly well. :) got an A- pretty happy about it. but we're getting tons of new vocab so i have lots to keep up with.

i'm becoming better friends with the theology students as well. the other day we were all comparing different animal sounds. who knew a rooster would sound so different in italian and romanian? hahaha. this provided us with entertainment for a long time. we would all make the different sounds from our countries. and lets just say it was hilarious! haha....

then last weekend it was free museum weekend. i still don't know why, so don't ask. but most of the public museums were free! it was amazing! we went to the Palazzo Piti (i hope that's what it's called!) and then Bobili Gardens and a some churches as well. I was sick, so i was really no fun....but it was a fun weekend and kept us all entertained.

then more classes this week. monday's are my long days....they're nothing to complain about because i have easy classes like cooking and ceramics haha but it's still a longer day. in cooking we made gnocchi and pesto.....so good! except my gnocchi didn't look very good and the cook was making fun of me! haha but it's fun. and ceramics is good for me. even though i'm not artistic. my teacher only speaks italian and just walks around showing us things saying "looka looka looka looka looka" until you stop what you're doing and admire her art. she's sweet. but for some reason she always has something to fix with my art! ugh haha

a bunch of us girls went out last night. and that was fun. we met up with fabio which always makes things safer. quick into--fabio owns the leather store where i found my red jacket that i LOVE and now we've become friends with him because i come in and try it on all the time. hehe and now i think i'm going to make a purchase! :) very excited!

on sunday we leave for Napoli for the week....SO EXCITED!!!! i'll try to post another blog before that.... love you all!

well...my apologies for not writing earlier friends!!!

Italy is amazing! I'm am loving it! making so many friends and learning the language. well i'd catch you up on what has happen so far but it's been a long week. so i'll give you a short version.

Gelato is my new best friend. we've been going to get some almost everyday...haha. I finished my first week of school, which was amazing. i'm soooo excited about learning the language. lauren(my roommate) and i have been going downtown lots, including last night which could have been bad. you see, to go downtown we have to take a bus. and it's one thing to buy a bus ticket, but when you get on you have to validate the ticket. lots of people don't validate their ticket and ride for free...unless somebody is on there checking to see if your ticket is validated. if that's the case then you're in trouble. you get fined 45 euros. ugh! so last night a group of us were on the bus and did validate our tickets cause we were all talking and visiting. (and to be honest we don't validate them very often.) so we were all talking when all of a sudden this guy out of nowhere comes and asks to see our tickets. we all paniced and tried to come up with something. haha....so pretty soon people on the other side of the bus heard he was checking tickets. as you can imagine they all freaked out. haha...(nobody validates their tickets.) so the bus was just making a stop at that time...so we ran for it and barely escaped!!! haha...i was freaking out! but that was the big excitement for the night.

today we went to cinque terre.....AMAZING!!! google it! Cinque terre means 5 villages. these 5 villages are all along the coast of the north west part of italy. all of the buildings are painted bright colors and it looks beautiful! there are gorgeous vineyards all of as well. you'll have to look at it. but we got off a train at these little villages and got to walk around and see the beach. it was great! not too many crazy things happened so i'm sorry i don't have more to write. tomorrow school should be long. but hopefully i'll get better at the language!
